O Lord, Ancient of Days, Fountain of all wisdom, Light of the ages and Shepherd of our souls, we rise this morning in the dawning of Your mercy, giving You thanks for the breath of life and the call to another day beneath Your sovereign hand. On this fifteenth day of July, we present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable in Your sight, not by our righteousness, which is but dust in the scales, but by the righteousness of Christ, our eternal Mediator and High Priest, who ever lives to make intercession for us.
Father, You who dwell in unapproachable light, we approach You boldly by the blood of the Lamb, knowing that grace has thrown wide the veil. We acknowledge that every moment we live is borrowed from eternity and every heartbeat resounds with the echo of Your creative Word. As the sun stretches its arms over the earth and the dew lingers briefly on the fields, so let Your Spirit saturate our souls with holiness, that we might walk today not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, but delight ourselves in the law of the Lord, meditating on Your truth both day and night.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, Word made flesh, today we behold again the mystery of our salvation. We do not awaken to a world abandoned by God but to one in which the Kingdom is breaking in—quietly, steadily, subversively. Even now, the powers of the age to come stir within us through the indwelling Spirit. May we live today not as those asleep, but as children of the light, awake to the call of heaven, alert to the movements of grace, and attuned to the sufferings of our neighbor. Let us not be as those who merely observe the faith, but as those who contend for it with gentleness and truth, as soldiers of Christ armored in love and humility.
Holy Spirit, Breath of the Almighty, proceed again over the waters of our hearts and bring forth order where there is chaos, courage where there is fear, and hope where despair has taken root. Convict us of sin, but do not leave us in our shame—lift us, restore us, sanctify us through and through. Teach us to pray, to weep, to rejoice, to wait, and to act. Let Your gifts find expression in our lives not for our own acclaim, but for the edification of the body and the glory of the Son. Kindle in us again the fire of apostolic zeal, not the vanity of spectacle, but the steady flame of gospel fidelity, that we may proclaim Christ crucified and risen in word and deed.
O Triune God, whose mystery we adore and whose presence we dare to enter, make this day a liturgy of praise. May our speech echo the language of heaven, our labor be done as unto the Lord, and our rest be filled with holy contemplation. In the face of trial, give us perseverance. In success, give us humility. In grief, give us peace. In all things, form in us the likeness of Your Son, that whether in life or in death, we may be found in Him.
We remember today the Church universal, scattered across continents and gathered in Your Spirit. Strengthen our brothers and sisters who suffer for the Name. Embolden those who preach where Christ is not yet named. Heal those whose bodies are afflicted and comfort the hearts of the mourners. Let unity flow like oil upon the beard, reconciling what man would divide. Protect the purity of doctrine, guard the simplicity of the gospel, and renew in every heart the joy of salvation.
Father, grant that we may not squander the grace of this day. Whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do, let it all be done to Your glory. Remind us that our citizenship is in heaven, and that our work, though temporal, participates in the eternal as we offer it to You in faith. Let us live today as those who long for a better country, whose eyes are fixed on the city whose architect and builder is God.
We entrust this day to You, O Sovereign Lord, believing that You are already present in its every hour. Walk with us. Guide us. Correct us. Delight in us. And when the evening comes and our strength is spent, let our rest be a sacrament of trust, knowing that even while we sleep, You neither slumber nor cease to uphold all things by the word of Your power.
In the name of Jesus Christ, to whom be glory in the Church and in all generations forever and ever. Amen.
